EMDR & Couples Therapy Intensives

Most therapy models are designed for symptom management.

Intensives are designed for structural change.

When your nervous system is locked in survival mode, weekly 50-minute sessions can feel slow, fragmented, and insufficient. Life doesn’t pause for healing.

Intensive therapy creates protected time for depth, containment, and measurable movement.

This is not crisis work.
This is focused repair.

Who Intensives are for

This may be a fit if you:

• Function at a high level but feel internally flooded, shutdown, or chronically on edge
• Are navigating betrayal, trauma, burnout, or attachment rupture
• Want meaningful progress in days…not months
• Value privacy, continuity, and strategic care
• Are ready for focused work (not just venting)

I work with a limited number of intensive clients to ensure depth and continuity of care.

Couples Therapy Intensives

For couples stuck in repeated conflict, betrayal recovery, or trauma-driven disconnection.

This format combines:

• Gottman Method structure
• Attachment-based repair
• Trauma-informed EMDR interventions (when clinically appropriate)

Intensives are designed to:

• Interrupt negative cycles
• Restore safety and emotional accessibility
• Create a structured repair plan
• Accelerate reconnection

Formats:
• 6-hour intensive (Full Day)
• 2-day deep dive (12 hours)

Each intensive includes::

• Pre-intensive relational assessment and preparation
• Structured intervention framework
• Integration and follow-up planning

EMDR Intensives

Designed for high-functioning professionals, veterans, and leaders navigating trauma activation, burnout, or chronic stress patterns.

Intensives allow us to:

• Target root trauma networks
• Reduce reactivity and shutdown
• Accelerate nervous system regulation
• Create a structured integration plan

Formats:

• 4-hour intensive
• 6-hour intensive (Full Day)
• 2-day deep dive (12 hours)

Each intensive includes::

• Pre-intensive assessment and preparation
• Structured EMDR processing
• Post-session integration roadmap

What makes this different?

Weekly therapy can be powerful.

But, when urgency and depth matter, containment changes outcomes.

Intensives provide:

• Focused momentum
• Emotional containment
• Strategic sequencing
• Immediate integration planning

This is therapy that meets urgency with depth.

INTENSIVES ARE NOT APPROPRIATE FOR EVERYONE

A consultation is required to determine:

• Clinical fit
• Safety and stability
• Appropriate format (weekly vs intensive)

FAQ

Do intensives replace weekly therapy? Sometimes. Some clients complete one intensive and transition to periodic check-ins. Others combine intensives with short-term weekly work.

Are intensives virtual? Yes. Secure telehealth for clients located in FL, MD, NC, SC, and TN.

How do I know if I’m ready? If you’re motivated, emotionally stable enough for trauma processing, and seeking focused depth rather than ongoing maintenance, we’ll explore fit in consultation.
