What makes my work different?
Most traditional therapy models were built for symptom management.
My work is designed for nervous system repair.
High-functioning individuals often don’t need more coping strategies. They need structured depth, targeted trauma processing, and relational recalibration.
Weekly 50-minute sessions can be powerful.
But when your nervous system is locked in overdrive, containment, depth, and focused intensity matter.
That’s why I specialize in EMDR and Couples Therapy Intensives.
Deep. Strategic. Accelerated.
I specialize in:
• Trauma recovery through EMDR
• Couples repair using Gottman Method and attachment-based frameworks
• Nervous system regulation for high-achievers under chronic stress
• Burnout recovery and relational reconnection
My approach integrates evidence-based clinical models with direct nervous system work, allowing you to resolve patterns at their root, not just manage them. This integration allows us to move beyond insight and into measurable physiological and relational change.
The traditional mental health system often underestimates high-capacity people.
You’ve likely held roles where others depend on you.
You’ve adapted. Performed. Protected.
But emotional armor has a cost.
I create space for structured repair. Whether that’s trauma integration, relationship restoration, or recalibrating your internal sense of safety and authority.
This is therapy designed to meet urgency with depth.
Flexible. Private. Strategic.
Whether you’re navigating trauma, burnout, or the slow disconnection in your relationship, you deserve work that honors your time and your complexity.
If you’re ready for meaningful change, not just maintenance, I’d be honored to work with you.
About Dr. Georgia Harrison, DSW, LCSW, BCD
Trauma Specialist. Couples Intensive Therapist. Nervous System Strategist.
Hi, I’m Georgia.
I work with high-performing professionals, veterans, leaders, and couples who carry responsibility well, but struggle to power down.
My practice is built for individuals and partners who function at a high level externally while internally navigating trauma activation, emotional shutdown, or relational strain.
I offer online therapy across Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
I hold a Master’s degree from Florida State University and a Doctorate in Social Work from Tulane University. I bring over a decade of clinical experience, including service within the VA system, active-duty counseling in the U.S. Navy, and trauma-specialized work with Army Special Forces.
I am EMDR-certified and trained in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy, integrating trauma resolution with structured relational repair.
